Inspired by the famous footrace in Paris, the Sacramento Bastille Day* Waiters’ Race returns for its 5th annual contest in midtown on Sunday, July 13th.
The goal: Make it to the finish line without spilling water or without dropping the tray altogether. Judges will be at each corner and the finish line.
A maximum of 50 participants will be allowed, so register early!
*In France, “La Fête Nationale” – or simply “Le Quatorze Juillet” – is celebrated every July 14th with military parades, fireworks and festivities throughout the country. The date marks the beginning of the French Revolution in 1789, when a mob of angry Parisians stormed the Bastille prison, a symbol of the monarchy's tyrannical rule.
